Milk-sick = I miss my mummy

During the last few days when I was away, Bryan has been rejecting milk via bottle, spoon or cup. Mom tried all sorts of method to get him to drink milk and it was such a chore each time. My dad and her had to distract her with something new, or mix some cereals into the milk or let him gnaw on some rusks while feeding him milk in between bites.

I think Pei Sze is right. Bryan has been rejecting milk because he has an instinct that I will be or am away.

Yesternight, when I am back, he gladly accepted direct breastfeeding. And he asked for nen-nen repeatingly when I want to put him to sleep. It was so difficult to put him down. The moment that i want to put him down, he will cry and ask for nen-nen.

In the end, I had to keep him at my breast until he falls asleep – something that I have not done in a very very long time.

This morning mom told me that he accepted the milk bottle again. Drank 4 Oz from it. But he rejected the bottle again for his afternoon feeding.

When I picked him up this evening, I went down to my car to keep the things first. My mum & aunt joked that mummy is going home liao, say bye-bye. He actually got teary eyed. When i got back 2 mins later, he was very happy to see me and asked me to hold him immediately while pointing to the main door – asking me to take him home.

He then happily waved goodbye to my family and sent them flying kisses – Something that he has never done before. Usually he does not want to follow me home as there are more people to play with him at my mom’s house – my sis and my aunt who just returned from work.

Looks like he is really growing up and he knows how to miss mummy now. icon smile Milk-sick = I miss my mummy
