I read that many parents face a dillemma each time they drop their kids/ babies at their babysitter.
I guess that I am lucky that I never had this problem. Bryan is always happy to go to my parents’ house.
Usually Bryan will be a good mood when he wakes up in the morning. But if he is cranky, I will just have to say, “Bryan be a good boy ok, we’ll go to Poh-Poh’s house soon.” And his face will light up and he’ll say “Poh-Poh, …Aiyeye” (TV program la!).
When he is smaller, he even refused to come home with me in the evenings. He will stick to my mother like a leech. Why? Because he is treated like a Prince at my mother’s house. Throughout the day, both my parents will entertain his every single whim. And come evenings, my sis will be home and my aunt will drop by to play with him. So Poh-Poh’s house is definitely more exciting than ours.
Now that he’s older, he’ll gladly come home with me in the evenings. When i open the door & put on my shoes, he’ll come running to me and send flying kisses to everyone else.
So, i guess he is familiar with his routine now. Morning => Off to Poh Poh’s house. Evening => Home to mommy.
Hin Lerk is the same. That is the different between grandparents and babysitter. Hin Lerk and Bryan are the lucky one. Not sure whether my mom is able to take care my second one.
Pei Sze, I agree! Yeah, it’ll be tough for your mom if u have another one soon, cos she’ll be taking care of 3 altogether.
