Favourite Dish
July 25th, 2007 by Shooi
Though Bryan is still taking porridge daily at my mom’s place, I have stopped cooking porridge for Bryan during the weekend. He will usually have whatever that we are having. I just need to make sure that the food that we have are non-spicy, and not salty. And he’ll take it without much fuss.
If I have to cook a dish for Bryan, my favourite dish would be pasta with cheese.
I use organic vegetable pasta shells.
To make the sauce, I will first stir fry some garlic in olive oil. Then add a small slice of bacon and chopped vegetables (I usually use brocolli, cauliflower, carrots). Stir till fragrant then add in half a box of UHT milk. Dropped in the cooked pasta shells and 1 slice of cheddar cheese. Simmer until the sauce is thick and nice.

Bryan loves this too and can finish his serving with little assistance from us. I loved it because it is so easy to prepare and is packed with protein & calcium from the milk & cheese, and vitamins & fiber from the vege.

(he always have his meals topless at home, so that I have less dirty laundry to wash
)
And on a separate note, we took him to Cameron Highlands and Ipoh during the recent long weekend (Pg Governor birthday).
We went to Ipoh Old Town for our favourite beef koay teow. As usual the coffee shops are very packed and this one don’t even have a baby chair.
So we stacked up 3 regular chair and voila…

Bryan can now eat his meal in a “regular” chair as well. Of course it gets a bit tricky once he is done with his food and wants to explore the place. There’s nothing stopping him….

The topless tip for eating at home is a good one, thanks!
Hey, the Nam Heong coffee shop (the other Ipoh White Coffee shop, the one I prefer) opposite the beef koay teow one, has baby high chair la
wah that’s for the great 5secs recipe hehe..i’m about to cook that tomorrow
It’s great reading your blog, I’d like to get your permission to copy your pasta recipe and email to my sister.
Thanks.
