Milestone check – 21.5 month

Since I have been really busy, I haven’t had the time to document his growth & milestone properly.
Vocabulary
It is really difficult to track what he is able to say. It seems that he is learning new words every day.

-He can count from 1 to 12 in English. Although some of the words sounds a bit like French…haha
- Mandarin – he can do from 1 to 10, his favourite numbers – 5 & 8
- Clock & Shi-Cong (mandarin). He will show you the clock (or the watch) if you ask him what’s the time
- Chi- Cie (self- mandarin). Hubby was soaping him yesterday, and he pushed hubby’s hand away, saying Ci-Cie. Meaning, he wants to do it himself.
- Mo Mo (mandarin – touch)
- Pah-pah (mandarin – crawl). He took his BB Einstein caterpillar toy and showed us how the caterpillar crawls.
- Mak (mandarin – mop/ wipe)
- Chuo (mandarin – sit)
- Kai Kai
- Chou (go, walk)
- Playground
- Chuan Sieh (wear shoe) – Usually it is “chuan sie, chou, playground”
- Lai (come)…eg, “Ee-ee…lai” or “Daddy, lai” when he wants someone to go to him.

Other accomplishments
~He can finished the sentences for the songs that I regularly sings to him, usually saying the last word for me
- Twinkle Twinkle Little Star – Last word of almost all the sentences

- Old Macdonald – Esp the E Ya E Ya O, and when I make the chicken sound….”Chick chick here,….”
- The other more complicated songs….he’s getting there – Over the Rainbow, Rainbow Connection, River of Dreams,
~Diaper training in progress. We are now training him to wee-wee into a cup. And when he does, the reward is, he gets to flush the toilet after we had emptied the cup into the toilet bowl. We will ask him, Bryan u want to Shee-shee. If he wants, he’ll say “shee-shee”, else he’ll say “mai” (no). If he says no, I don’t force him.
~ He knows how to wriggle his arms out of the car seat belt, and back into the seat belt again, when we scold him…*cheeky boy*
~ He can mop the floor
~ Recognizes the shapes of Triangle, Square, Oval, Star, Circle

WOw! I’m impressed by Bryan’s milestone.
Can speak Mandarin and English… My Darrius only speaks English as he is with me all the time. SOmetimes he adds in a few Hokkien words and that’s about it.
