Much better now…

Phew…Bryan’s body “warmness” is gone since yesterday afternoon. But he has a slight runny nose instead.

I guess the body warmness is due to the incoming flu. But we’re glad that it not develop into fever and now he seems to be recovering.

Seems like the supplements that we have been giving him daily – Scotts Emulsion + Noni Juice seems to have helped to strengthen his immune system.

I am almost out of the flu medicine, so i went to the PD during lunch to get some spare. Actually i don’t want to get it cause i think we should just let his body fight the infection, but my parents say kesian him la….

A little warm…

Bryan woke up this morning with a slightly warm body. We tested him with the thermometer and it was normal.

I had to leave for work early today for a morning conference call and he was reluctant to let me leave. I can hear him crying as I leave the house and hubb trying to divert his attention to something else.

When he reached my parents house, they fed him some milk and he vomited some out later. Dad was worried and wanted to send him to the PD but I said no and just monitor him for a while and feed him some Paracetamol, just in case.

He was reluctant to take the Para but mom tricked him that it was strawberry syrup. Luckily he took it with much coaxing from both my parents.

After the medicine, he took an almost 2 hour nap at 9am++, something that is indeed very odd as he has stopped taking morning naps long time ago.

I also asked my parents to give him double dose of the Noni + Berry juice to help boost his immune system. Luckily he has no trouble taking the Noni + Berry juice.

I have been calling home regularly and mom says he seems ok…

During lunch, my friend also taught me how to chant some prayers for him tonight for speedy recovery.

He took another nap after his light moi lunch, Para, Noni + milk…Good, rest is needed to help him recover health.

I hope he will be well and healthy as we have a very busy weekend ahead….

Fascinated about wheels

Bryan has this fascination on moving wheels. He can spend a long time just turning the wheels and observing how they turn and turn.

We took him to Youth Park a few weekends ago and he had so much fun just turning this large wheel. In fact we had to drag him away wailing loudly. He just could not get enough about the wheel.

At home, he will be turning the wheels of his car or his tricycle. His cars and tricycle will be upside down and he’ll have fun just turning and turning the wheels.

Remedy for hair cut woes

Bryan hates hair cut. I have tried giving him one myself, but the results was terrible. Lots of cries and the haircut looked awful. So, I think I’ll rather leave it to the professionals. Well, there are still cries and struggles but at least the results looked decent.

Last week, we took him for his bi-monthly haircut. He started crying as soon as we enter the shop. And the poor boy was crying non-stop as the barber tried to make him look good. And the barber was really good. He was very patient and I think he used 4 or 5 different shaver settings on 2 settings on Bryan. We were telling him, no need to be so perfect, cin-cai can liao, but he says it is ok. But overall, we were very happy with the end results. This time it was better than the previous tries.

Anyway, back to Bryan. He was crying non-stop even after the barber had stopped cutting. So how to make him stop crying?

He stopped crying as soon as we told him that we’ll take him to McD. And he replied immediately, “Nennenna, mai apple pie? (Buy apple pie at McD). So I said “Ok, yes

He cheered up immediately. In fact he even said “Thank You” and waved bye-bye to the barber as we leave the shop.

So to prove that mommy don’t lie. We walked to the McD which is just nearby and ordered 1 apple pie for him.

He finished the whole pie by himself, well almost, except for the last bit of pie crust. I thought the pie would have spoilt his appetite for lunch. But luckily he still managed to finish 75% of the cheese omelet that I made for him an hour later. Guess he really does have a separate tummy for dessert.

Stairs climbing

During the weekends, quite regularly, we will take Bryan to Tesco after breakfast for grocery shopping.

We normally go early in the morning as there is less crowd. If the playground is fairly empty, and we still have time, we’ll let Bryan play a while at the playground.

There are multiple stairs at the playground and Bryan loves going up and down the stairs. We live in an apt so there is limited opportunity for Bryan to learn stairs climbing. Usually Bryan will hold on to our hand for support while he climbs the stairs. But it is about time that he learn to do it by himself.

He finally did 3 weeks ago…

I had to stop recording the video because he is escaping into the tunnel… :-D

Sand & Sea..I’m loving it!

I’ve been delaying doing this post because I wanted to do a photoscrap on it. But I could not find time to do it…so never mind liao la.

We took Bryan to the beach again during the Merdeka day holidays. Met up with my friend, her husband and her two kids as well. My friend and I have always been planning to go out and have fun with our kids for months, but we never managed to meet up until then. Our schedule always seem to conflict.

Anyway, we were blessed with good weather on the Merdeka Friday afternoon although it had rained the last few days and in that morning also. So we head towards the beach.

This is the 2nd time for Bryan at the beach, and again he showed no fear at all at the sand & sea. In fact he wanted to go to the sea immediately. He kept saying ..”yiu yong” (swimming). Since the waves was very mild and he seemed so comfortable, after a while, we decided to let him walk by himself.

He was very comfortable walking on the sand but seemed afraid when walking unsupported by the shoreline.

Later we took out his sand castle toys and let him enjoy building sandcastle with his new friends.

Actually, I think he spent more time digging sand and later trying to bury himself in the sand than playing with his friends.

He loves playing with older children who knows how to entertain him but I think he is still a little too small to play with kids his own age by himself.

It was a great time at the beach and Bryan was very reluctant to leave. When the weather improves (it is rainy season now), we will definitely go to the beach again :-D .

All here now…

Finally, I’ve done it.

I’ve exported all the blog posts from my blogger blog to this blog. Actually it is very easy to do on WP 2.2, but I have no time mah…

Most of the post from blogger are on Bryan, so I am keeping them here. Some of the photo & text alignment are out after the export, so i’ll still need to spend some time to tidy them up.

It is nice to be able to read & track Bryan’s development all in the same place. I read back some of the first posts that I wrote a year ago and I looked at the photos I have posted there…I am amazed at how much Bryan has grown.

And when we are blessed with a bro/ sis for Bryan, it will be tracked at the same place too. That’s why I have selected the url “mybb….” instead of specific to Bryan, so that it has “room to grow.”

Whom does Bryan look like?

I’ve seen this in a few blogs the last few days. So I thought I’ll just give it a try.

Like most people, I get comments from people saying that Bryan looks more like me or more like hubb. But as he grows older, more and more people say that he looks more like his daddy, but with prettier eyes…hehehe.

So the results was no surprise to me…

So, daddy, u win! :)
