Our new home
November 26th, 2007 by Shooi
Yay! After months of wait…we finally received the keys to our new house. The house seller handed over the keys on Friday afternoon. And on Saturday, we took our in laws to view the house…the empty house.
The new house is very near to Charlotte’s house…probably less than 100 ft away. Definitely walking distance! And since it is so near, Charlotte & her mummy took the opportunity to drop by when we were there on Saturday afternoon.
Bryan was napping at my mother’s house after lunch and therefore we did not take him there. Otherwise, I am sure Bryan and Charlotte will have fun exploring the house together.
We took Bryan to the new house after his TumbleTots session on Sunday. As we turn into the house, Bryan started to say, “Hi wou-wou (doggie)” repeatingly. ThenĀ as we parked our car at the porch, he realized that there are no wou-wou. And he said “Wou-wou boh”
, you know why? He thought that we were taking him to Charlotte’s house. Charlotte’s exterior house design is similar to our house but she has a golden retriever at the garden. That’s why he was looking fwd to the doggie when we went to the house. Hehe…it is a matter of time before he figures out that Charlotte lives nearby and demands us to take him there.
I am glad that Bryan seems comfortable in the new house. Although it was empty he seems to enjoy exploring the place - all the rooms. Charlotte too was also quite comfy in the house the day before.
Hehe,..you know what some people say la…how comfy children are in the house is an indication of how “clean” the house is. Looks like the house is clean. :p

COngratulations! Quickly start the house renovation and Bryan and Charlotte will soon have fun meeting up everyday!
LOL at Hooi Ling! *someone wants a piece of that roasted suckling pig!*
wah..congrats!
I agree with u on the children being happy in the house. I only got mine ONLY because my No.1 ran into the house, very happily..and jumped around the garden. Trust me, the house really looked haunted, but his actions re-assured me.
Gong hei.. Gong hei!!!! I also believe children are the best indicator if the house ’suits’ us or not
