No, it is not Bryan’s birthday, but it’s my mom’s.

Yesterday was the 7th day of the first month of the Chinese lunar calendar. That day is dubbed as “ren ji” (human day), so it is considered the birthday of mankind, or everyone’s birthday. But specifically, that day is also my mom’s birthday, so I bought a small cake to celebrate the occasion.Bryan as usual, is very excited to see the cake. He even wanted to put on his party hat when he saw the cake. When I put the candle on the cake, he reminded me to light the candle as well. Since he loved the cake so much, we let him sang the Happy Birthday song several times, which he enjoyed tremendously. Needless to say, he wants to participate in the blowing of the candle and the cutting of the cake as well.

My sis commented that it looked more like his birthday celebration than my mom’s. But since is “human’s birthday” it can be counted as his also right?

All kids loves cakes with candles when they know and appreciate the meaning behind…. Especially those who knows how to sing the birthday song! :P

They will fight to blow the candles too!
