The countdown…

Bryan will be starting 1/2 day care next week. So essentially this is his last week of “freedom” at home, of doing nothing, lazing around or doing anything he wants.

Before I had Dylan, I had no intention of starting him on any daycare/ preschool program until he is at least 4 years old. But a few days with Dylan + Bryan, we realized we need help.

There is just NO WAY my parents could manage both the 2 kids when I am back to work. Right now, both my parents are taking care of Bryan and I take care of Dylan most of the time. So it takes 3 adults to take care of the 2 kids.

So I have listed Bryan to start 1/2 daycare at the Tumbletots center. He has been joining their weekend play program for the last 4+ months and he loved it there. And I am comfortable with their teachers and their program which is based on the principle Learning Through Play.  He’s too young for any “formal” education kind of learning.

I spoke to the principle about joining about 1 month ago, and she advised me to prep Bryan on school. Right now, Bryan is very excited with the prospect of going to school. His idea of school - lots of friends, singing, dancing, jumping, tumbling, climbing, yeah..all the things that he does during his weekend program.

I had actually wanted to start him earlier, to make sure that he has time to adjust before I return to work. But the Principle refused as it was the Hand Foot Mouth season. She had heard from her PD fren that there were a few cases reported, mostly down south (KL - Johor). Every year, end Mar-Apr is the HFM season, so it errs to be caution.

The only disadvantage abt Tumbletots, it is all indoors. There are no outdoor activities. I guess I cannot have the best of everything at the moment.

As long as Bryan is happy, I am happy. I am crossing my fingers that he will be happy when he starts daycare.

My baby is growing up…*Sob*sob*

Yeap one thing with indoor school is children tend to pass germs around easily. This is one thing you need to watch out for.
