All About Bryan and Dylan

Dylan’s complete urine analysis came back last Monday. What the PD suspected is probably true. The infection was not treated properly the first time and it came back.

The urine culture test showed E Coli bacteria growth and guess what, the bacteria is now resistant to Augmentin, the oral antibiotics that was prescribed to Dylan the first time. During his 1st infection, the bacteria was still sensitive to Augmentin, but not now.

What the medical books say is true. If you do not finish your antibiotics dose and all the bacteria is not killed off, they will come back and will be resistant to the antibiotics.

Right now, we are crossing our fingers that he is cleared now but we will only be taking the test next Monday.

Arrghh…it’s gonna be a busy Monday for me next week. Bryan starts half day care and I’ll be accompanying him of course. Then when I got back home, I will have to take Dylan to the PD for another test.

Hoping all will be settled before I go back to work end of this month.
