Copy cats

It works both ways!
Didi will imitate ge-ge.
Ge-ge will imitate didi

Bryan imitating Dylan crawling around

Boys will be boys. Cannot just play nicely one. Must tumble here & there, wrestling with the lil one.

I just can’t wait for Dy to grow up so that he can really play with his ge-ge. I am sure Bryan can’t wait too :-D

Sleeping on daddy

Daddy’s shoulder is just sooooo comfy

Maybe it is because i can’t spend as much time with Dylan as I had with Bryan last time. But Dylan gets along much better with hubb when it comes to nap or sleeping at night.

I can always count on hubb to put Dy to sleep. Hope this continues on & on…..

Brother in command

The main power to our DVD player is switched off most of the time cause that is the only way to keep Bryan off the TV. We don’t subscribe to Astro kiddie channels, so no DVD means no TV for Bryan.

I’ve had it off for several weeks now. But i bought 2 new DVDs for him last week, so i switched it on for him during the weekend.

Bryan is very happy to see that DVD “got battery already” and will help himself to his DVDs. He knows how to find his own DVD, put into the player, switch the TV to DVD mode, turn up (always up, never down) the volume, play, repeat, stop, etc the DVD show. When bored, take out & change DVD or CD.

We already got no energy to stop him from doing all that himself. So we let him do what he wants. And oh yeah, he does cause a lot of scratches to the discs. But wateve la, if they are spoilt, then no need to watch liao lo. And he understands that he is the one who damaged it.

Anyway, yesterday, he was watching DVD with Dylan nearby.Dylan crawled over, took the remote and press press press. The the DVD setting screen came up and interrupted Bryan’s viewing.

Bryan: Mommy, u see didi. Cannot watch oredi.
Mummy: Oh i donno. Spoil oredi. Cannot watch oredi.
Bryan: Mommy do, mommy do. (means repair)
Mummy: Mummy donno. *walks away*
Bryan: *take remote, press press press*
DVD resumes playing normally
Bryan: *talks to Dylan* You see, ok already. Cannot press anymore ok. U press, I will beat you, you know.

Dylan – 9th Month Update

Milestones achieved this month

  • 2 little incisors has popped up at his lower jaw, and I could see that 2 will pop up at his upper jaw soon.
  • So his milk intake has dropped dramatically. From his regular 5 Oz/ feed to about 3 Oz per feed. That also with a lot of coaxing from his poor grandparents. Luckily there is still no problem when he nurses directly. So I am not really bothered about his drop in day time feeding. Whatever he misses during the day, I am sure he makes up for it when I nurse direct at night.
  • Everyone says he is more “kuai” than his brother. Really? Bah! Nope. He is much much more demanding than his brother at this age. He just have a more innocent face.
    • Fights for attention. If I read with Bryan on my lap, he would quickly crawl towards me, pushes Bryan aside and squeeze himself between us, until his brother moves away and he can sit on my lap, or he will just sandwich himself comfortably between us.
    • Very choosy over who holds him. Favorite person? Mummy of course. He is a mummy koala bear. When mummy is not around, he sticks to gong-gong because gong-gong takes him for walks around the neighborhood but poh-poh don’t.
  • Has started to try to stand independently without support. He can’t stand for long unsupported of coz, but that doesn’t stop him from trying all the time.
  • Occasionally, he may even try to walk a few steps unsupported.
  • Luckily for us, he takes the fall quite well. He knows how to position his arms & body to cushion himself from the fall.
  • Food – Just as mommy had promised, there are more new food for him to enjoy. This month, he had been introduced to:-
    • Porridge cooked with
      • Chicken
      • Fish (Anchovies) – Mummy just made anchovies powder yesterday, so now u can have moi sprinkled with anchovies powder.
      • Pork
      • Red dates
      • Wolfberries
    • Prune juice
    • Millet
  • Crawls all over the house. Sometimes we get so engrossed in our chores that after a while, we will ask, “where’s Dylan?” and starts to look for him.
  • Can play independently by himself for much longer period of time.
