Milestones achieved this month
- 2 little incisors has popped up at his lower jaw, and I could see that 2 will pop up at his upper jaw soon.
- So his milk intake has dropped dramatically. From his regular 5 Oz/ feed to about 3 Oz per feed. That also with a lot of coaxing from his poor grandparents. Luckily there is still no problem when he nurses directly. So I am not really bothered about his drop in day time feeding. Whatever he misses during the day, I am sure he makes up for it when I nurse direct at night.
- Everyone says he is more “kuai” than his brother. Really? Bah! Nope. He is much much more demanding than his brother at this age. He just have a more innocent face.
- Fights for attention. If I read with Bryan on my lap, he would quickly crawl towards me, pushes Bryan aside and squeeze himself between us, until his brother moves away and he can sit on my lap, or he will just sandwich himself comfortably between us.
- Very choosy over who holds him. Favorite person? Mummy of course. He is a mummy koala bear. When mummy is not around, he sticks to gong-gong because gong-gong takes him for walks around the neighborhood but poh-poh don’t.
- Has started to try to stand independently without support. He can’t stand for long unsupported of coz, but that doesn’t stop him from trying all the time.
- Occasionally, he may even try to walk a few steps unsupported.
- Luckily for us, he takes the fall quite well. He knows how to position his arms & body to cushion himself from the fall.
- Food – Just as mommy had promised, there are more new food for him to enjoy. This month, he had been introduced to:-
- Porridge cooked with
- Chicken
- Fish (Anchovies) – Mummy just made anchovies powder yesterday, so now u can have moi sprinkled with anchovies powder.
- Pork
- Red dates
- Wolfberries
- Prune juice
- Millet
- Porridge cooked with
- Crawls all over the house. Sometimes we get so engrossed in our chores that after a while, we will ask, “where’s Dylan?” and starts to look for him.
- Can play independently by himself for much longer period of time.
Ooo he got big round eyes..
and yes, way to go..walking in probably 2-3 weeks time??? My prediction.
He is doing well..growing well.
Shooi: actually i don wan him to walk so soon. Still so young. But i guess we can;t stop them fr progressing.
Dylan is growing up so quickly!! Can even walk!!! Well done, little Dylan!
Wow! He is already learning how to let go and trying to walk unsupported? My son still do not want to learn how to walk unsupported yet.. just a ques, when you let him crawl around the house, does he sometimes knock his head on the floor?
Shooi: He doesn’t. He’s pretty “good” at falling. He knows how to use his hands & body to break the fall. Each kid is diff i guess. With Bryan, he knocks his head all the time if we let him crawl around un-watched.
