Bryan loves parties. There are lots of food. Lots of toys. But most importantly, there is a birthday cake.
He loves singing birthday songs and loves cutting the cake. He always says that he wants to cut the cake. But of coz unless it is his or ours, he doesn’t get to cut the cake.
So not surprisingly, he was looking forward to his cousin Jasmine’s birthday last Sunday.

I love this pic cause it gives the impression that both of them are very kuai-kuai one. Are they? Of coz not ..hehehe
Both of them used to fight a lot…well, actually Bryan is the bully and poor Jas was always at the losing end. But the 2 of them are very buddy now. So when both of them are together, we parents can relax as they will play by themselves. That’s also one of the reasons why I decided to have #2. Only child is just too lonely.

We tried to let Dylan participate in their play as well, but he is still a little small to participate. He loves being around his chieh-chieh and ker-ker though.
Bryan also tried to steal the limelight fr Jas on that day by singing a few songs on Jas’s new birthday gift – an electronic piano with an accompanying mic.

Luckily Jas very gracious and was contented to play the part of the piano player.
I also managed to catch some nice shots of Dylan and my husb with the boys

I love this photo as well as the 3 of them got that samseng “yau yeng” look…

Why no photos of me (AGAIN)? Coz when husb was holding the camera, all he focused on was photos of his kids. He diden care if my face looked senget keh or what. He just snapped the photos. So his kids looked cute but me leh?
Finally, baby Jasmine is going home.
Bryan was allowed to go home on Monday night, and initially we thought Jasmine would be allowed to go home on Tuesday morning – after her final dose of antibiotics.
Unfortunately, she developed fever and diarrhea on Tuesday. So the doctor asked for her to remain in the hospital for further observations.
Finally, today she is well, and the doctor allowed her to go home tonight.
Get well and strong, dear Jasmine.

*Sigh* it has been pretty unlucky for the kids in my family last week.
First, my SIL’s 8 year old daughter Melannie fell sick on Saturday night/ Sunday. She had high fever and sore throat.
On Wednesday, both Bryan and Jasmine developed fever.
Mel, Bryan and Jasmine did meet up at MIL’s place on Saturday afternoon. And PD suspected that Mel may have passed the infection to the 2 smaller kids. But since Mel is a bigger kid, her illness is less severe and she recovered faster.
Bryan and Jasmine went to see the paed on Thursday and was admitted the same day for suspected Cosackie infection. We did not know about this until we met each other at the hospital.
The hospital had full occupancy the day we checked in. I checked Bryan in early and we managed to secure a private room at the adult ward floor at the 6th floor.
Jasmine was not so lucky. There were no more rooms available when she checked in. They had to wait quite a while for a room to be available, and then it was only a 3-bedded room, even though Jasmine mommy requested for a private room too. Jasmine was bedded on the 5th floor which is the children’s ward.
But since both kids had the same symptoms, the same blood results, same everything, we felt that it is safe for both kids to mingle around and share their toys.

BIL joked that instead of the usual gathering at MIL’s place in the weekend, we gathered at the hospital instead.
I finally get to go for my pre CNY facial. Went to MIL’s place for lunch and left while Bryan was taking his nap.
His cousin Jasmine came after I left and hubb tooked these photos of them together..

Awww…. Ain’t the 2 of them simply adorable?
